OK, so this one is a composite image – something I rarely do. It’s a combination of three images, all shot at the same scene on the same night. The location is the waterfall at Buderim Forest Park on the Sunshine Coast.
deserted
14 JunThis is one of my favourite images. Taken at a local park, it took about 15 to 20 attempts to get it just right. This was the only shot that had the ball on just the right angle and in just the right place. There was some minor editing done in raw and photoshop – mostly dodging and burning.
Floating

This is another image from the isolation series. It was shot in the river at low tide using a long exposure. A combination of flash and light painting were used to light the subject. The water was cold and the batteries were going flat so I only had one chance to get this photo.
Hayfield under a full moon
31 MayA moody spring night, following a glorious spring day in south-east Queensland. I was still following the theme of isolation when I took these. I was aiming for a late afternoon/sunset shot, but didn’t get there in time. Then I saw the full moon rising above the trees and decided to go for something completely different. I’ve done some dodging and burning to this image to achieve the final effect.
